Morning
Our tour guide and driver will greet you at the cruise port as you board your private coach for an exciting Ho Chi Minh City shore excursion. Start your day at the Thich Quang Duc Monument, commemorating the Buddhist monk who self-immolated in protest of anti-Buddhist policies in 1963. Learn about the historical significance of this event and the monument’s symbolism.
Continue with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, featuring exhibits about the Indochina wars and the Vietnam War. The museum also showcases local artisans crafting handmade jewelry and other unique items available for purchase. Visit this French colonial architectural gem. Discover the history of Vietnam’s famous letter writer, Mr. Duong Van Ngo, and take in the nostalgic atmosphere with old-school phone booths and beautiful oil paintings. You can also purchase postcards and send home to friends family or even yourself for a souvenir. Head to this grand cathedral, built by French colonists between 1863 and 1880. This iconic structure in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City reflects the city’s rich religious and cultural heritage.


Lunch

Built in 1897, this cultural landmark hosts a variety of performances and stands as a symbol of the city’s artistic heritage.


Continue to the Mariamman Temple, a vibrant Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Mariamman. This unique structure, built in the late 19th century, offers a glimpse into Ho Chi Minh City’s spiritual diversity. End the day with some shopping at Ben Thanh Market, one of the city’s oldest and most famous landmarks. Browse local handicrafts, art, and branded goods, and pick up souvenirs before heading back to the ship.
