Get off the major tourist trails to enjoy this Da Nang shore excursion as a true local farmer. Before arriving at your rice field, take a 45-minute drive to Hoi An town from your pickup point at port entrance gate. Start your Danang shore excursion with a visit to some beautiful sites such as Marble Mountain, Non Nuoc Beach, Cham Museum in Da Nang City. Upon arrival, grab your bike and cycle to the countryside (opt for the van if you’d like). There, sip on a nice cup of welcome tea in the middle of the rice paddy field while learning about local farming life from the experienced farmers.
Afterward, slip into your farmer clothes and put on your conical hat and plastic boots to get ready for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your guide will first explain how to grow the wet rice through control of the agricultural water system and water buffalos before you start the actual work. Enjoy an exhilarating ride on the water buffalo around a shimmering pond.
Reward your hard work with a delicious local lunch at the farmer’s house. Say goodbye to the farmers and head back downtown for some drinks and shopping time.
